Dope Black Woman is a platform used as a voice for black interests, to promote black culture and black liberation.
Our Mission is to empower individuals within black communities to reach their full potential. We seek to challenge all forms of oppression therefore breaking barriers to forward movement.
D.B.W. was created December 17th, 2016 by Marie Carter. Our platform is used by a host of creative writers who seek to build experience and gain credibility through writing while empowering and educating the masses. If you are interested in joining us please complete our sign up form.
Throughout history black men, women and children have continued to live under severe oppression. There is a lack of understanding and compassion for the trauma experience by black families as well as the longstanding mental and emotional effects that continue to move forward from generation to generation. Our goal is to bring a halt to that oppression by helping individuals discover their true identity and renew their thinking in order to break the destructive cycles of bondage that continue to spread within bloodlines.
We host powerful educational workshops, seminars, lectures, retreats and healing sessions for adults. We provide entrepreneurial camps, mentoring and a host of other events for the youth throughout the year. Subscribe to our monthly newsletter to stay up to date on what we’re up to!
If you are interested in collaborating with Dope Black Woman on the assignment to tear down false systems of belief and bring forth healing within black communities we would love to hear from you!
